Postgres database crashed - volume data recovery needed

Hi Railway Support,

My Postgres database service has crashed and won't recover. I need help recovering the data from the volume.

Error from logs:

ERROR (catatonit:2): failed to exec pid1: No such file or directory

The container keeps crash-looping with this error. The database was working fine until about an hour ago. I'm on the free tier so I don't have automatic backups.

What I need:

  1. Can you recover the Postgres data from the volume?

  2. If recovery isn't possible, can you help me understand what caused this crash?

This database contains all my application data and I don't have external backups. Any help recovering it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

You modified your Postgres' start command in your settings and re-deployed it. This seems unintentional. Try removing the start command and re-deploying it.
