Hi Support Team,

We received an alert that the Postgres-XMDu volume is 96% full in production. Could you please check and confirm:

  1. What’s causing the high disk usage (e.g., logs, data, or temp files)?

  2. Whether we should increase the volume size or clean up unnecessary data?

Please advise on the safest and quickest way to resolve this to avoid any service interruption.

Thank you,
Shahab

Hi Support Team,

We received an alert indicating that the Postgres-XMDu volume is 96% full in production. However, when checking the storage, it appears that there’s still plenty of free space available.

Could you please verify this alert and confirm:

  1. Which specific volume or partition is being reported as 96% full?

  2. Whether this alert is accurate, or if it could be a monitoring issue?

  3. If any action is required on our side to prevent disruption.

Thank you,
Shahab

Hey, I would recommend upgrading your storage since that's completely free (you're only charged if you actively use it), and then investigate what's happening and potentially clean up your storage.

Unfortunately, the Railway team won't be able to directly access your storage, but I'm here to help with any step of the investigation. Feel free to ask me!

how to upgrade?

Was about to comment about that. Use the following documentation: https://docs.railway.com/guides/volumes#growing-the-volume

Are you able to try resizing the volume to a larger size and see if that fixes it?

This would not impact your bill as alerts and metrics are separate.
