Hi ,
I'm trying to add a payment method to my account, but checkout is rejecting my card with a message indicating it's a prepaid card.
Card details:
- Issuing bank: Zitouna Bank (Tunisia)
- Card type: "Carte Technologique" (bank-issued Mastercard)
This same card is successfully used for recurring monthly subscription billing with other services (Proton and HackTheBox), so it does support stored/recurring charges and is not blocked at the issuer level.
Could you help me understand:
- Is this a hard policy block on prepaid cards regardless of functionality, or a Stripe risk-based decline that could be reviewed?
- Is there an alternative payment method I could use instead (e.g., different processor, invoice/wire, or another route) given my card works for recurring billing elsewhere?
I'd like to continue using Railway for my project and want to resolve this properly rather than work around it. Happy to provide any additional verification needed.
Thanks for your help,
T7CE

Railway doesn't support prepaid cards, it's credit or visa debit only
