yes you will be charged up front and then have $5 remaining, that $5 will be used for any resources, or the next cycle to pay for the Hobby plan next month

the hobby plan is a monthly subscription, its not a one time payment, you will need to keep your credits always topped up

Yes. So what’s the difference between usage base subscription and prepaid subscription

pricing wise, absolutely nothing, its just your choice if you want to always have to stress about having enough credits so your services dont shut down, or go stress free and let us charge you automatically

Oh I see. I thought it’s kinda like pay as you go service

it is, you manually pay as you go, but you still pay just as much on either plan in the end.

So what happens if I am not able to catch up to use up to $5 that month?

You will absolute use $5 at minimum a month, Hobby plan costs $5 a month after all

but if you loaded $50, then remaining credits would carry over

Oh okay

automatic payment is the way to go, no need to stress over if you have enough credits loaded

I thought it works like the free credit. As long as you didn’t use to service the amount remains even after the month

nope, Railway is a monthly subscription, how you pay doesn't change that fact
