Private networking across projects?

If I want to have an observability project that manages grafana and such for my company's projects, is that possible? I would like to avoid having a single project with a million services in it

its not possible, the private network is scoped to a single environment

we have no plans for it, it wouldnt be a very private network then haha

i mean, it would it would just be private to your organization and not a single specific project

so companies today that need monitoring and observability put all their services into a single project? we can do that that just doesn't seem like what the UI is for

why not use the public network?

for metrics? because if its exposed to the public web someone could send stuff to it if i don't secure the endpoint, and i don't want to spend time securing the endpoint.

this originally came from wanting a single tailscale relay for my whole company but seems that's not possible, but now thinking we're going to have multiple services/projects that need to be aware of the observability stack

then you could have an observability stack per project

ideally we have one single grafana and not a million different ones

like how do company/team clients use "projects" right now? it seems like either everything goes in its own project or everything goes in one project with no in between

everything goes into its own project

hmm is this something y'all are open to changing or working on? being able to link across service boundaries is a huge deal for companies

for the time being i will likely keep our whole company service stack in one project and lean heavily on groups

honestly, probably not
