The project was deleted a few months ago and you're asking if there's any possibility to recover it or its data.

We don't offer data restoration for user-initiated actions like this. Going forward, enable volume backups on your service so you can self-restore if it happens again.

I understand that data restoration is not normally offered for user-initiated deletions. However, this PostgreSQL database contains extremely important data, and I wanted to ask if you could please make one final check.
Could you verify whether there are any internal backups, snapshots, archived storage, or disaster recovery copies that still exist for this project or service, even if they are not normally accessible to users?

I completely understand if recovery is not guaranteed, but I would be very grateful if the infrastructure team could check whether any recoverable copy still exists. Even an older snapshot would be incredibly valuable.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this. I truly appreciate any assistance you can provide.

Our databases are unmanaged, so automatic snapshots, WAL recovery, and PITR aren't available unless you set up volume backups or PITR yourself. We don't recover data lost to user-initiated actions. Going forward, enable volume backups on your stateful services so you can self-restore if this happens again.

I understand this is your standard policy. However, I'd like to make one final request.
Could you please confirm whether the underlying storage for this PostgreSQL service has been permanently destroyed, or if there is any possibility that the data still exists in decommissioned infrastructure, archived storage, or internal systems that could be recovered as a one-time exception?
I completely understand if the answer is no, but this database is extremely important to me, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could verify this with the engineering team before closing the request.
Thank you again for your time and assistance.

The platform-level tooling we maintain is reserved for catastrophic platform-side recovery, not for restoring data after user-initiated actions. This doesn't change based on how the request is framed, and there is no one-time exception path we can offer here. Sorry we don't have better news.

Hey, Railway won't be able to recover your database, especially when you have deleted it months ago.

I just wanted to clarify that the project was deleted approximately 2 and a half months ago, not many months or years ago. I reached out as soon as I realized what had happened, and I was already asking about recovery around April 28 because this database is extremely important to me.
I have been a loyal Railway customer and have always had a great experience with your platform, which is why I'm asking if you could please make one final exception. I genuinely believe there may still be a possibility to recover the PostgreSQL data if it still exists somewhere within your infrastructure.
To be completely honest, I don't believe I intentionally deleted the project. I think it may have happened accidentally, which is why I contacted support as soon as I realized it was gone.
Would it be possible to escalate this ticket to a senior engineer or someone from the infrastructure team for one final review? I'm not asking for guaranteed recovery only that someone with deeper access confirms whether there is absolutely no recoverable copy, archived storage, or remaining data.
I completely understand your policies, and I appreciate the time you've already spent helping me. I'm simply asking for one final check because this database means a great deal to me, and I would be incredibly grateful for any additional effort you can make.

Unfortunately, as stated above, Railway won't be able to recover your database.

To reiterate the responses you've gotten, I'm so sorry we aren't able to help with this, and do appreciate your politeness in asking. Unfortunately, unless it is within the 2 day restoration window, we aren't able to restore user-initiated project deletions.

Thank you for taking the time to explain everything, Sam.
I understand your policy and I appreciate your patience with my repeated requests. This database is extremely important to me, so I just wanted to ask one final question before I give up.
Could you please confirm whether there is absolutely no possibility of recovery, even through your engineering or infrastructure team? If there is any chance at all that an internal backup, archived storage, or another recovery method exists outside the normal 2-day restoration process, I would be incredibly grateful if my request could be reviewed one last time.
If the answer is truly that the data no longer exists and there is no technical way to recover it, I will accept that. I just wanted to be completely certain that every possible option has been exhausted.
Thank you again for your time and for all of your help.

The answer stands. Closing this out because, at this point, we are going in circles.
