Project Transfer not possible even though on Hobby plan

Our developer created a personal / free account (with his GitHub account) and moved our database to Railway. For billing purposes we created a paid business account and want to transfer our project there. Our business account has already paid for the hobby plan, but the transfer is still not possible.

Business account: Hobby
Personal / Dev account (with database): Free

Okay so generally businesses would need to be on the Pro plan, and Railway doesn't have a free plan so that would need to be hobby just to do the transfer as far as im aware

Tbh the business plan is absolutely overkill for our little web app and the reason we switched from planetscale since the pricing update. We are just looking for a simple and fair priced mysql solution.

The developer account is in the free trial which is why we wanted to transfer it to a paid plan with an account in our name.

It would not make any sense to put the dev account into a paid plan since it will be deactivated after the transfer

32 vcpu and 32gb of ram is overkill for even a lot of enterprise apps, but thats not the driving factor behind upgrading to Pro, as the name suggests, the hobby plan should only be used for hobby projects, not business projects.

If you still can't transfer after upgrading the trial let me know and then i will get the team involved.

If that’s the case we might as well just stay with planetscale

What do you mean?

Well if you want to know we are a small event organizing team, we are not a 20 employee business, we have to look at our expenses

But if railway does not offer something that fits our needs this is ok and we will continue looking

that wouldnt be a hobby workload, thats for sure something you want to be on pro for

Why?

How did you solve the problem? I'm having a similar issue. I'm on the hobby plan, trying to transfer project ownership to my partner who is on the pro plan.

they did upgrade their account to hobby during this, as they where on the trial when they opened this thread, would you mind opening a new help thread?
