There was no spiking on usages, dashboard also says Aug 2 - Aug 2, its only July now??

Yep, seems like that is where the cost is coming from
8 months ago
The “estimated” cost wasn’t reflected the spike yet
8 months ago
but current cost seems correct, that is an enormous amount of egress
8 months ago
yeah.
I don't think this is correct because dashboard says 2 Aug to 2 Aug

This is the usage for 1 month. You seem to have an insane amount of egress.

if it wasn’t like this before, is it possible that you are not accessing the database through its private URL, and are instead using its public URL? If you’re accessing through the public url, you are charged for egress

in the future, set a usage limit and alerts so you are notified if your app is using much more resources than is typical
8 months ago
additionally, if your app needs to transfer a large amount of data to the end user, consider adding authentication and rate limiting.

judging by this graph, these charges did not happen overnight. Setting up proper alerting would have helped you here.
Seems like you’ve identified the service that is the cause of this network usage. Have you identified a reason why it has transferred so much data?

hmm that’s a good point. flagging in the team

I’ve raised this to the team in our private chat, they will get to this next week.
my billing never exceed $40 I had hard limit set to $40, and i don't have that much traffic that cost would increase like that

Hmm interesting, if you do have a hard limit at 40$ then this is likely a UI bug
8 months ago
Besides the Aug 02 to Aug 02 text, are there any issues here?
User has a hard limit of 40$ but the UI shows an current cost of 78$
8 months ago
.
That's an estimation though, the hard limit comes into play when their actual usage reaches $40.
Oh wait
Okay so two UI issues -
Aug 02 to Aug 02Current > Hard limit
Yeah but seems like it is getting that wrong current usage from that weird usage time span it selected
8 months ago
So just UI issues, no incorrect charges?
Seems like it, but let's wait for @saakashvili(mefe) to confirm
8 months ago
@Brody no incorrect charges here ^
those all seem like reasonable amounts. Not over the hard limit
8 months ago
Okay awesome, that's what matters here the most, I'll ticket the UI inconsistencies.
I checked the outgoing request to graphql it sends august 1st as start and end of the usage history
8 months ago
We’re going to need some more details. What does graphql have to do with this?
I mean I checked networks tab.. you are using graphql right? for fetching data on frontend..
Yes, but I'm not sure how that answers my question, sorry.
Do you believe you were incorrectly charged for anything?
I haven't charged anything yet.. i just went to see usage and it showed incorrect costs
