Hello!
Need a bit of help with something. today i tried railway to host a small nodejs backend and everything felt seamless (mostly!). i am now looking into upgrading to hobby plan.
While browsing through blogs and discord, I came across mentions of discounts or waivers available for verified accounts. I wanted to check if I might be eligible for any of those.
I'm planning to upgrade to hobby either way. just thought I’d ask before doing so. Thanks in advance!

The waived fee hobby plan is a relic of the past, you are not eligible for it. Hobby plan comes with 5$ of included spend, that’s all the savings you are eligible for

You don't pay more than $5 if your usage is <= $5 (included spend mentioned above). The hobby plan is a monthly subscription for $5 + additional usage beyond the included spend.
ok so from what i understand, the initial 5$ is the fee i pay to access railway, and i get 5$ for resource usage.
so if i spend more than 5$ in resource usage, i have to pay
5$ (the base fee) + extra resource usage

With the hobby plan discount, if you were eligible for it in the past - covers the $5 subscription fee for the Hobby plan, which also includes $5 of usage. That being said, eligible users do not need to pay the subscription fee, get the same benefits of the plan including the $5 credit, but are still responsible for paying any usage beyond their $5 monthly credit.
