Railway overcharging for RAM

Hey team,
My Railway project is showing and charging me for ~7GB RAM usage in the dashboard, but when I check inside the container using ps aux and top, my actual app (Gunicorn + Django) is only using about 180MB. We have no traffic right now.

Even free -h just shows host-level stats (384Gi total, 242Gi used), which doesn’t help for debugging container usage.

Is the reported 7GB:

  • a peak usage snapshot?

  • volume + memory combined?

  • or possibly just a misread?

Would be great to know what it's measuring and how to debug this better.

Hi there, your usage is charged for just what you use - it seems you had a spike in RAM on June 7th, and now it's down. You won't be charged for 7gb if you don't sustain that amount of RAM used.
