Why is my deployed project RAM consistently at 2.5GB usage when the CPU is at zero and there is no other usage? I had my project deployed and tested it back in August. The app I have built does not maintain a constant active connection. It goes dormant unless I initiate a process on my end. The app was successfully spinning up my deploy server, processing my request, and then closing the connection. When closed, CPU and RAM would shut down to zero. For the last month plus, I haven’t used my app at all and the project CPU shows zero but my RAM usage has held steady at over 2GB usage. I’ve shut down the project so I don’t get charged any more while I get help.

Your current billing period shows $12.88 in memory usage, all from the "Instinct" service. We can measure how much memory your service uses, but we don't have visibility into what your application is doing internally to hold that memory while idle, so finding the cause would require application-level profiling on your end.
You can set up usage alerts, limits, and view your usage breakdown - including per service costs - by heading to railway.com/workspace/usage.

Yeah my app is connected but it isn’t doing anything. When my app is idle, there should be no usage at all. As a test, I shut the project instance down, left it for an hour or so, and then restarted it. Nothing has changed on my app side at all. My usage is showing at zero now after restarting. I’m assuming there was a process that was stuck or something but I’m not sure.
