Railway does not see github repos. Followed the instruction of disconnecting connections in settings and connect again but it does not work. Not able to deploy because it says my branch main does not exist. There are many similar threads on the internet for quite a long time. Also tried deleting the Railway app inside github and reconnecting without success.

It came back after an hour. But now the application won't deploy and it leaves no logs to explain why.

The only error shown is the following in the screen capture.

Looking on google it might be the GitHub Rate Limiting (Occasionally, the error can be due to temporary rate limiting imposed by GitHub's API. This usually resolves itself or the Railway team addresses it.). How can I solve it for good? No way the service is this bad
Any alternative to bypass dependency on github? Maybe deploying always from Dockerfile? I would appreciate a solution to avoid wasting so much time on it. Thanks a lot!

Started working again. It was probably a Github API rate limit. But it is really annoying in critical moments. It would be better to have a clear error message for the end user. "GitHub API rate limit exceed, come back in X hours". Then I wouldnt have spent hours trying to figure what was going on.

I am getting this same problem. Not sure of cause but probably the same thing as you mention? Unable to deploy
This is a critical integration that needs more love. I am a new Railway user and this isn't the greatest early experience.

Hello,
I sincerely apologize for the wait. It takes time to ensure everything is just right, but I’m pleased to announce that we have completely rewritten the way we retrieve the list of available repositories. This new approach is much more robust and provides real-time updates.
Please let us know if you continue to experience any issues, though!
