Recover MySQL data from expired trial volume

Hi Railway Support,

My Railway trial has expired and my MySQL service is currently offline.

However, my existing MySQL volume is still present:

Project: calm-motivation

Environment: production

Service: MySQL

Volume: mysql-volume

Storage used: approximately 149 MB / 500 MB

I need to migrate my existing MySQL database to another provider.

I do not want to upgrade to a paid plan.

The Railway CLI shows that the volume is Ready, but when I run:

railway volume files list /

I get:

"Service MySQL has no active deployment in environment production."

Could you please advise me on the safest way to export/recover the existing MySQL data from this volume before it is deleted?

Please do not delete or wipe the volume.

Thank you.

Your MySQL volume is still present with ~149 MB of data, but accessing it requires an active deployment, which requires an active subscription. We're not able to grant access to services or volumes on inactive accounts, including temporary reactivation for data export. To recover your data, subscribe to a paid plan at your workspace billing page - once the workspace is active, the MySQL service will come back online against the same volume and you can run your export (e.g. mysqldump) normally, then cancel afterward if you no longer need the plan.
