I have a mongo service with volume running in railway are there any tips for reducing the memory it consumes? Also is there a way to see which of my services in railway is consuming the most memory? I have many services but I suspect Mongo is what is running my bill up the most.

Tuning the memory used by mongo would be something you need to consult mongo's documentation for as the database Railway deploys is unmanaged.

As for seeing how much memory all the services in a project use, you access that information from this page - https://railway.app/account/usage
