Hi Railway Support,
I'm currently unable to deploy because my workspace has been restricted with the message:
“We limited this workspace after detecting unusual activity. It can't create new resources or deploy until it upgrades to a paid plan.”
The reason shown is “Payment verification required.”
I believe this restriction may have been triggered because I deleted and recreated my Railway account several times. I want to clarify that I was not trying to misuse Railway, bypass any restrictions, or create multiple accounts for additional resources.
I was having trouble figuring out the GitHub integration and thought my GitHub account wasn't connected or configured correctly. I also couldn't find a way to properly log out and switch between accounts, so I mistakenly kept deleting the Railway account and creating it again while trying to troubleshoot the issue.
I'm a student currently working on a hackathon project, and I've barely used Railway resources. This was genuinely a mistake while trying to get GitHub authentication working, rather than an attempt to abuse the platform.
I understand that normally this restriction can be removed by upgrading to a paid plan, but I unfortunately cannot afford the upgrade at the moment.
Would it be possible for someone to manually review my workspace and remove the restriction as a one-time exception, given the circumstances?
I'm happy to follow any requirements or verification steps needed, and I won't repeat the account deletion/recreation process.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this. I would really appreciate any help you can provide.

Thanks for explaining what happened with the GitHub setup. The restriction on your workspace clears when the workspace moves to a paid plan, and adding a payment method on its own does not lift it.
We aren't able to remove it as a one-time exception on request. Until the workspace is upgraded, it can't create new resources or deploy.

We've looked at this again with the background you gave us, and the answer stays the same. This restriction isn't removed as an exception, even for a one-time mistake like this one. The only way to lift it is to move the workspace to a paid plan. Until then it can't create new resources or deploy.
We know that's hard to hear in the middle of a hackathon, and we appreciate you explaining what happened.
