Hello Railway Team,
My project’s trial period has recently expired, and now I'm unable to access my database. I completely understand the billing policy, but I’m currently in a situation where I only need temporary access to export my Postgres database.
I’ve already removed my application services and no longer intend to continue using the platform for hosting (though Railway is amazing but I'm looking for something free). My main goal right now is to simply retrieve a backup of my database so I can migrate elsewhere.
Would it be possible to grant me a short grace period or temporary access to download my data? I would really appreciate any help you can provide.
Thank you for your time and support.

Your Postgres service has already been removed from your project, and once a service and its associated volume are deleted, the data cannot be recovered. Per our data retention policy, volumes from Trial accounts are retained for 30 days after credit expiration, but since the service itself was removed, the volume data is no longer available for export.

No, the "postgres" and "postgres-volume" services are still there. I have only removed my NextJS instance recently and that is irrelevant to my database instance.

To regain access and export your data, you can resubscribe to the Hobby plan ($5/month) from your billing settings. Once active, you can connect to the database and perform your export. Per our data retention policy, Hobby plan volumes are retained for 60 days after cancellation, so your data should still be available if you act within that window.

I never subscribed to the Hobby plan, I was on the free tier. I just need temporary access to my data so I can export it and migrate. I have no intention to buy the Hobby plan.

We understand you only need brief access to export your data, but unfortunately, we're not able to grant temporary free access or extend trials. The only way to reactivate your workspace and access your Postgres database is to subscribe to the Hobby plan ($5/month) from your billing settings.
