Request to increase Postgres volume to 10–20 GB while staying on Hobby

Hello Railway Support,

I am currently using the Hobby plan and I would like to ask if it would be possible to increase the volume limit for my PostgreSQL database from 5 GB to either 10 GB or 20 GB, while remaining on the Hobby plan.

My PostgreSQL database contains important historical data from a trading application that I have been developing and testing. The database has reached the 5 GB volume limit, and PostgreSQL is currently experiencing storage/recovery issues as a result.

I do not need the other features or resources of the Pro plan, and upgrading to the $20/month Pro minimum is too expensive for my current use case.

I am happy to pay an additional storage charge if necessary. I only need a larger PostgreSQL volume — ideally 10 GB, or 20 GB if 10 GB is not sufficient.

Could you please let me know whether Railway can manually increase my Hobby volume limit, or offer an exception for this use case?

I would really appreciate any solution that allows me to keep the Hobby plan and preserve my existing PostgreSQL data.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Jacek

We understand the situation, but we don't offer volume limit increases on the Hobby plan. The 5 GB volume cap is part of the plan tier definition and we're unable to grant individual exceptions or additional storage add-ons on Hobby.
