Restart deployment when exceeding RAM limit

I have 2 replicas with 1GB allotted to each instance. Due to memory leaks RAM consumption has been over 2GB for nearly an hour but the deployment continues to run. Is that an expected behavior? Do apps will run until they reach the hard-limit 8GB?

Typically yes, your application will continue to run until they reach the limit you've set.

It looks like you've set the limit at 1GB per replica, which is pretty small for a NextJS application. I'd advise raising that limit to 4GB for smooth operation.
