So I wanted to ask more info about environment variable
How seal works on it?
Is it only for the frontend on railway? I asked cos I linked my railway variable to vercel and guess what? My sealed variables are imported and available to view on its frontend (vercel)

Hello,

Yes, sealing a variable is a concept only on the Railway dashboard. Could you share what you would have expected to happen when we synced the sealed variable to Vercel?

And while I have you, obligatory question: what do you have on Vercel that you cannot host on Railway?

Ah, that's a question I'm wondering too
It's only a simple frontend

So what I'd like is to not send sealed variables on railway to vercel or whatever other platform

I'll try to deploy it on railway while waiting to answer you

But tbh, i did so to avoid paying more than my current plan

Would you mind opening a feedback thread saying that you would want sealed variables to not be synced to Vercel:

With enough agreement from our users, we could definitely look into providing a toggle to change this behavior.

But with that said, If you run the frontend on Railway you won't have to worry about the variable being synced to Vercel!

btw, would you mind helping me setting a monorepo for my apps? I've tried before with AI helps but didn't get it to work

At this time, I unfortunately do not have the spare cycles to provide help unless there is a platform or product-level issue, but our wonderful community could help!
