I am trying to create a service based of a monorepo however there is no field rootDirectory like in the UI. How can I create the service and trigger the build on a specific directory?

I tried putting a templateServiceId to one that I set up manually but it still doesn't work

Forgive me here- I am trying to understand your intent so far.

You would like to make this service into a template. However, you don't seem like you can because you aren't able to add a rootDirectory to the linked repo? Is that correct?

Thanks,
Angelo

I angelo thanks for your reply. Actually the service I would like to use as a template would be the following : https://railway.com/project/4498335f-5930-4d40-a7bf-29b0f57e5920/service/92514883-9e53-4b92-b84f-9d171fbbbb63/settings.

My problem is that If I put it as a template id it won't copy the root directory parameter that I put manually.

Basically the build will fail because he doesn't know that he should start the build in a specific directory.

So- I think we do indeed support that via Template Composer

If you go into your Account Settings and then create one here: https://railway.com/compose

You can than set the root directory you would like the template to deploy from, screenshot attached.
