Hi Railway Team,

Our application is experiencing critical performance issues following the US West storage alert you posted.

Issue:

  • API endpoints timing out (30+ seconds)
  • Database queries hanging
  • Service degraded for our customers

Setup:

  • Project: restauarantorder-handle-call
  • Started ~04:00 UTC on 2026-10-04
  • Using Postgres with attached storage

Questions:

  • ETA for resolution?
  • Any recommended workarounds?
  • Should we migrate to another region?

This is affecting production. Any help appreciated.

We're sorry for the trouble. The slow queries and timeouts you're seeing match an open incident, Slow attached storage for some users in US West, which affects attached storage in US West.

We've identified the cause and are working to bring performance back to normal. We can't give a specific ETA yet.

Your Postgres volume is only lightly used and has plenty of free space, so disk capacity isn't what's slowing it down.

The attached storage incident in US West is still open. The cause has been identified and work to restore normal performance is ongoing, but we don't have a specific ETA to share yet.

We aren't able to send a personal email when this is resolved. The incident you're affected by, Slow attached storage for some users in US West, is still in the identified stage and we don't have a specific ETA yet.
