The railway.json is for using config as code for settings related to your Railway service.

For settings related to Railpack, you would use a railpack.json file, and according to the docs, you can't override the root config path except through an env var

But that's subject to changes and a comment about it on #📦｜railpack would help!

Post about it on #🤗｜feedback ! There's a nixpacksConfigPath on the railway.jsonschema so I don't see why we can't have a railpackConfigPath too 😉
