To have the domain start with api, is this the correct setup?
Wouldn't the name be api?

you would need to add api.domain.com to Railway first
It worked with my namecheap domain, so I'm guessing it's the domain provider of the client?

Actually my namecheap domain is just stuck on this, I've not seen it before, is this normal?

can you send the domain over discord please

the first domain is setup incorrectly, the second domain is setup correctly

the way you set it up
api.ranbprep.com
gives me this DNS record, which I believe is incorrect no?
gives me a record with the name of api, not @

you would be given a CNAME for both domains, both for api

it says in the text to use the value for api.domain.com

please read the Info text on that modal
Apologies if I don't see it, just confused why this one says differently than my api.andremaytorena.com, I didn't change the process at all

the value is incorrect, please see the yellow text
Yes I see that, ranbprep.com is incorrect, what does that mean though? what's incorrect about it?
I setup my vercel domain in the same way with dashboard. instead and it works fine

it's the wrong value, you need to use the value you are given
I need to use this value:
820tefm6.up.railway.app
That's the one railway gives me
I understand that, I setup api.andremaytorena.com just fine using the value it gave me

set the value please

for api!
When I try to set it using those instructions my client gets this error
10 months ago
yes, that is the subdomain you are using
alright, not sure if you understand what I'm trying to get at though, when I set api.andremaytorena.com it told me to use name api
is that not a dash error? that it tells me to use @ name when I inoput a subdomain of api

if it works its not to be worried about, no need to overthink this
Alright I know but I don't have access to the domain, so I prefer to know what will work before I have my client changing the records over and over again
Just added another domain and it's working fine, not sure why this one isn't
Is it normal for it to take this long to issue a tls certificate? usually its a few minutes

looks like WP.com was still serving that domain when we attempted to issue a cert.
you will need to redo the setup.
