Hi,
Our app hosted on Railway (service: Pomet-Deploy, region: us-west2) has been experiencing severe slowness for the past few hours. Even static HTML files take 30+ seconds to load or don't load at all.
We've tried Restart, Redeploy, and accessing via the internal Railway URL (pomet-deploy-production.up.railway.app) with no improvement. HTTP logs show the server responding in 30-57ms, so the issue appears to be in Railway's networking layer before requests reach our service.
CPU and RAM metrics appear normal. The Railway status page shows no incidents.
Could you investigate if there's any infrastructure or networking issue affecting our service?
Project ID: 66754618-207f-4869-93e4-7510167e42e7 Service: Pomet-Deploy Domain:www.pomet.com.brRegion: us-west2
Thank you.

I'd try accessing your site from a different network. I can load your site within 2 ish seconds.

Thanks for the quick response. The landing page is also slow, not just the dashboard. I can see in the Network tab that the dashboard.html file itself (a static file) is taking 17 seconds to load. This happens consistently across different networks and devices. The issue seems to be on Railway's side serving the files, not on the client side.

Same issue here. My app on Railway is also experiencing severe slowness, requests often take 30+ seconds to respond. I'm based in Brazil as well. I just tried the OP's website and it took over 30 seconds to load.

I'm suspecting a regional issue. I've deployed my own application on US West (test.benkou.dev), and both your site and my service loads fairly quickly for me. Unfortunately, there's not much Railway can do about this.

You can try deploying to a different region though and see if that helps.

Update: I tested accessing the site using a VPN from outside Brazil and it loads significantly faster. This confirms the issue is related to routing/latency between Brazil and the US West region. Is there anything that can be done on Railway's end to improve this routing?

Hi team,
Quick update: the slowness seems to have resolved on its own. However, we noticed significant ping spikes from Brazil to your US West region (avg ~16ms, max ~88ms with occasional jumps to 44-88ms), which suggests intermittent routing instability rather than a one-time event.
Could you please keep this ticket open and monitor on your end? We'd like to understand if this is a known issue with Brazil → US West routing so we can plan accordingly.
Thanks!

Unfortunately there's only so much Railway can do on their side. Since I'm able to load your site (and my other project in US West) just fine, this is most likely a temporary regional issue.

Your site is loading extremely fast in the SE United States,<2seconds.
