I want to set up these variables in order to make SMTP work, incoming and outgoing email. However, I CAN edit these variables but I CAN not overwrite them. It always use some default values from Railway itself.

I am trying to change these variables to be:

SMTP_HOST=mail.privateemail.com

SMTP_PORT=465

SMTP_USER=noreply@xxx.com

SMTP_PASS=mypassword

SMTP_FROM=noreply@xxx.com>

Please help us. Thanks!

1) SMTP is only available on Pro so it wouldn't have worked prior to the upgrade

2) Have you tried redeploying your service?

The variables value when clicking the eye button to make it visible, is different from what I see when clicking the three dots-->edit. That is weird!

We tried to use npx command to write SMTP variables and we can see those variables are overwritten with correct values, then we use telenet command to test port which is ok. But after reployment we still can not receive the message from the email account. Can you please help take a look?
