Hi there!
I just got the mail about the HA static outbound IP swaps.. So I wanted to just get it done but ran into the following.
- It's a pain in the ass to manually check every single service across all projects to enable it -> We need a fix for this
- Besides above -> You seem to rotate which static IP's you assign pr. service, making it impossible to whitelist all the IP's in advance and then safely enabling for all. -> Either streamline the assignment or make it possible to see all the static ip's on org level.

Both are valid pain points. Here's what you can do right now:
Problem 1 — checking every service manually:
There's no bulk enable option yet. Fastest workaround:
Go to each project → service → Settings → Networking
Enable HA static outbound IP one by one
Post this as a feature request at station.railway.com → Feedback — "Bulk enable static outbound IP across all services" — Railway staff do act on these
Problem 2 — IPs rotating per service:
Before enabling on each service, check the assigned IP first:
Enable it on one service
Note the IP assigned
Whitelist it on your external service
Then move to the next
To see all IPs across your org in one place — this doesn't exist yet either. Post it alongside the first request as:
"Show all static outbound IPs at org level before enabling"

- That's fair, we will keep this in mind for future similar migrations.
- Yep! they are HA after all!
- Well great, but what about now? Plenty of time for a fix.
- Well that's great, but why randomly roll the dice pr. service?
When you use static IP's it's because you need to whitelist.. which means you need a quick overview of IP ranges to whitelist, and you don't want that list to be a very large scattered list ideally 🙂
Can't we work on a solution here?

Until we offer dedicated outbound IPs, unfortunately there isn't more we are able to do here.

No ETA, sorry.

It's not on our roadmap at the moment.
@Brody The switch to several, 'dyanmic' static IPs is killing my business. I have the same problem where I need to auth my IPs. What should I do??

Don't know what you mean by dynamic?
Apologies, might've misread above. Could you pls confirm:
- Do the 3 static IPs per service every change?
- Is there any way to make the static IPs on two services the same?
- ^ but between different projects?
I can't whitelist more than 3 IPs and I have a bunch of services that need IP-whitelisting.
Absolutely love Railway by the way. thank you so much for everything <:salute:647102908529115137>

- No they don't, from the moment you open the modal they are assigned to your service permanently, even if you don't actually go through with the change.
- No, they are by definition HA.
- No.
Unfortunately there're no solutions we can offer you if the external vendor doesn't support allowlisting multiple IPs.
Ok. +1 for adding more granular controls over static IPs into the roadmap. Thx again
