Hello Railway Team,
I have a service hosted on your platform, specifically configured for the Singapore (Asia) region due to my client’s requirement to be visibly hosted in Asia. However, when checking with tools like hostingchecker.com, the result indicates the site is hosted in Washington, USA.
Could you please let me know if there is any additional configuration or procedure to ensure the hosting location is shown correctly as Singapore (or at least clearly identified as Asia)? I’d greatly appreciate any guidance or steps you can provide to resolve this issue.
Thank you in advance for your help and support.
Best regards,
Bruno

Hi!
Hostingchecker.com is hitting the edge-proxy in US West region. Your acutal workload is being run in Asia.

Hello Parmstar and Railway Team,
Thank you for your prompt response. I understand that my workload is indeed running in Asia, but my main concern is that hosting checkers (like hostingchecker.com) still detect and display the location as US West. My client requires that these tools indicate Singapore (or at least Asia) as the hosting location.
Is there any way to configure or modify the edge-proxy or other settings on your platform so that third-party checkers recognize the server location as Asia? Any guidance or steps on how to ensure Singapore is displayed would be greatly appreciated.
If this specific configuration is not possible, I understand—this requirement is unique to this project, and I may explore alternative solutions.
Please note that my other projects on Railway run smoothly without special location needs.
Thank you once again for your assistance, and I look forward to your recommendations.

You could do this?
set the pre-deploy command to curl http://checkip.amazonaws.com/, take the returned ip and put it into https://db-ip.com/

Thank you for your suggestion regarding the pre-deploy command using curl http://checkip.amazonaws.com/ and verifying the returned IP with db-ip.com. I understand that this method can confirm the IP of the server executing my workload.
However, my client's requirement is not centered around verifying the workload's IP, but rather ensuring that external tools (such as hostingchecker.com) display the hosting location as Asia (Singapore) instead of US West. It appears that the edge proxy in US West is causing this discrepancy.
Could you please advise if there is a configuration or adjustment available on your platform to address this specific need? My objective is to fulfill the client's requirement without compromising the workload that is already correctly running in Asia.
Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to your suggestions.
