I started using Railway in March 2024, and for the first two months, the costs remained stable. However, starting from April until now, I’ve noticed a significant increase in costs, over 100%, which seems to be driven primarily by increased vCPU usage.
I haven’t been able to pinpoint what caused this spike or identify which requests or processes have led to such a high vCPU consumption. Can anyone provide insights or guidance on how I can track down the root cause of this issue?
Are there any specific logs or monitoring tools within Railway that I could use to better understand this sudden increase? Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Hello,
Unfortunately we have no way to tell you why that vCPU increased, similar to how your power company can tell you how much power you use, but they can't tell you what you used the power on.

Hello,
Is there any way to generate a request report or some kind of log that would allow me to identify the reason for this increase? I’m in the dark about this and would like to better understand if I should continue with Railway or not. After all, this cost increase of 100% is something I’m unable to determine whether it makes sense or not. I was looking for a bit more information and help on how to answer my question, rather than simply being told what I already know.

I'm sorry but we just don't have any way to tell you why your application used the resources it has, RE my power company metaphor.
If you need this telemetry, it would be something you have to add to your code yourself, similar to adding watt meters in front of your appliances.
