I need some assistance with how to move forward managing my volumes.
A week ago I restored a backup, to clean up some data I had accidentally messed with. I didn't quite understand that restoring the backup would essentially mount the backup and unmount the primary volume.
I then continued using the backup volume until today, when I realized that I wasn't able to see any 'Backup' settings in the volume. That looks to only be possible on the primary volume.
My question is... what is the best practice to switch back to the primary volume, so that I can set up and utilize backups again, but with preserving the current data that's on the backup volume.
I'm an amateur hobbyist so I hope my question makes sense!

Hello,
A volume itself will only have a Backups tab when it isn't mounted to anything, but when you mount a volume to something, the Backups tab becomes accessible from within the service.

A ha! So, is it essentially fine for me to continue using this volume then? It's not inherently different than using the original volume?

Completely fine, just know that that volume cannot access backups that are newer than itself; those would still be available only via the original volume.
