Alright then I'd say you should contact your bank to see if they could be declining the payment

is there maybe a way to see why they decline it without calling them?

But is there some way to see how much the taxes are? or is it tax free?

I'm not sure, I don't know how taxes work in Germany

but like can you see how much the taxes are on the railway website

I don't think so, it's not Railway who defines how much tax you pay after all, you'll have to check what it is for Germany

from what I could find it seems like its 19%

but I could be way off, I have no idea- I'm just a guy who likes coding I don't know anything about taxes lol
