Template shows 0% deploy success rate but deploys successfully for me on Railway

Hi all,

I've created a template that shows a 0% deploy success rate, but it works perfectly every time I deploy it myself. Since I can't reproduce any failures, I'm unable to debug what's going wrong for other users.

Template:https://railway.com/deploy/playwright-ts-puppet

What I'm looking for:

  • Understanding why the deploy rate is 0%

  • What specific errors or issues users are encountering

  • Whether there are logs or diagnostics I can access as the template creator

  • Any steps I can take to improve the template's reliability

The template deploys successfully every time I use it on Railway, which makes this particularly puzzling. Maybe a regional difference or the new baremetal machines?

Since I can't reproduce the failures, I'm essentially flying blind on what's breaking for other users. Has anyone else experienced similar discrepancies with their templates? Are there any tools or methods for template creators to access deployment logs or error reports from failed attempts by other users?

Thanks for any insights!

Hello,

It's very possible that Free or Trial users are deploying it, and due to the lack of resources available on those plans, the application crashes and counts towards your success score.

Best,
Brody

Hi Brody,

I checked that, but on a free account with trial credits I got:
"Your account is on a limited plan. Please upgrade to deploy templates."

Any other ideas that we can check?

P.S. The last score seems to be 100% again, probably from trying myself (?).

What email do you have registered with your Trial account, given you do have a Pro plan I'll waive your Trial account through so you can test.

Hi Brody,

I have a similar question, as I’ve been maintaining a template here:

https://railway.com/deploy/A7Dwg9

It recently dropped to 92%, but after several deployments and tests, everything is working perfectly without any issues.

In this case, should the template’s health score be lowered?

It seems like the issue might be related to trial or free account limitations, not a problem with the template’s configuration itself.

A low health score could mislead people into thinking the template is broken or unreliable, even though it functions correctly.

Happy to hear your thoughts — thanks!

Hi Brody, is there a way for me to send it to you privately?
