Hey guys, i’m planning to transfer my application over to another Railway user who has the pro plan.
As of right now i have the hobby plan, how could i transfer over the full project without any downtime?
in my project i have a web app & an postgreSQL DB
I’d appreciate any help here as we’re trying to perform this ASAP,

Awesome! may i ask where i can add the user to my project?
Also, this shouldn’t break anything correct?

from within the project settings, there will be a member tab, there would also be no downtime since behind the scenes its just update the owner of the project

after the transfer the services and volumes will still only be using the hobby plan resource limits, your transferee will need to redeploy the services and grow the volumes to update the service and storage to the Pro limits, but they can do that at their discretion
Awesome just added him to the project.
i forwarded the message to him & he asked me if it is fine we do the redeploy beginning of next week

theres no time limit, they can do the redeploy at any point, pushing code to the repo would also redeploy
ah i see, i deploy from the CLI though i dont think it’s connected to a repo

but growing the volume is a manual process from within the volumes settings (dont know if anything in the project uses a volume, im just telling you this for completeness)

do they have a different email for their personal railway account as opposed to their pro workspace?

and they are definitely on pro?

you wouldnt be able to transfer to a trial user

they can go to their account page and click on either of the profile pictures to show all their workspaces, make sure they have a pro workspace listed
He said “it seems like i’m on a trial plan with the actual user but i created a pro plan organization”

is their email for the trial and the email for the pro workspace the same?

looks like their personal account would need to be on a paid plan too
