I just tried to deploy a project on Railway, but since the project isn’t fully configured yet and the deployment failed, my $5 credits seem to be gone before I could even test whether the app runs successfully.
What did I do wrong? Is there a way to test everything properly without immediately consuming credits?
In its current form, the trial felt pretty useless to me.

Hi! If your trial expired the only thing you can do is either upgrade your plan or use the free plan.
To use the free plan, go to https://railway.com/workspace/plans and see if you can apply to the free plan there!
The issue is that the deploy failed three times and burned through the $5 credits. How expensive is a single deploy anyway? That’s what I’m trying to figure out

What were you trying to host? Are you sure you ran out of credits and not the 30 day trial period?

If a deployment fails ("crashes") then no resources are used thus not consuming your credits
