Trial expired, DB connections refused — need temporary access to export data (can't pay via card)

Hi Railway team,

My free trial has expired, and my PostgreSQL database is now inaccessible (connections are being closed by the server). I'd like to add a payment method to reactivate it temporarily, but my prepaid card was rejected since Railway only accepts credit cards for subscriptions, and I don't currently have one.

I'm migrating off Railway to another provider, so I don't need long-term access, I just need to export my existing data (via pg_dump) before it's deleted. Could you please grant temporary access to my database so I can complete this export?

Project/database details:

  • Project name: posts-database
  • Database host: junction.proxy.rlwy.net
  • Port: 38434

Thanks so much for your help.

We're not able to grant temporary access to services on inactive accounts, including for data export. The path to regain access is to subscribe to a paid plan at your workspace billing page, which will bring your services back online so you can run pg_dump yourself. We do require a bank-issued credit or debit card for subscriptions, as prepaid cards are not supported.

Hey, as mentioned above Railway doesn't grant temporary access to services on inactive accounts. You can, if you haven't already, downgrade to the free plan at https://railway.com/workspace/plans and redeploy your database afterwards, which would grant you access to export it.
