Trial period not enforced on Rust service (still Online past 1-month limit, no warning emails received)

Hi Railway team / community,

I'm reporting an issue specific to one service in my project (dotsuite-core, production environment).

My project has multiple services running. The Python-based service is working completely fine — no issues there.

The problem is isolated to the Rust-based service in the same project.

Details:

My account was created on May 24, 2026 (confirmed by the "Welcome to Railway" email dated Sun, May 24). As I understand it, the Trial plan grants a one-time $5.00 credit AND is limited to 1 month — whichever limit is hit first, the service should stop.

By that logic:

  • The 1-month window ended around June 24, 2026.
  • Today is July 10, 2026 — that's already 16+ days past the 1-month cutoff.
  • The Rust service specifically is still shown as "Online" and still running, well past the time-based limit, even though actual credit usage is very low (~$0.31 of $5.00).
  • I never received any of the expected warning emails ("10 days left", "1 day left") before this cutoff was supposed to happen for this service. The only email I have from Railway is the initial welcome email — no usage/expiration warnings ever arrived for the Rust service.

Since the Python service in the same project is behaving normally and this only affects the Rust service, it looks like the issue is tied specifically to how the trial expiration/notification logic handles Rust-based deployments.

Could someone from the team help clarify:

  1. Why the Rust service isn't being stopped at the 1-month trial mark as expected.
  2. Why the countdown/warning emails never reached me for this service before that deadline.

Project: dotsuite-core / production

Dashboard shows: "0 days or $4.69 left"

Thanks in advance!

This is indeed a bug we are already aware of, but thank you for reporting it.

This does mean, unfortunately, that once we have this fixed, your trial will expire, but if it helps, that would have happened even if you hadn't opened this thread.
