I'm attempting to link my railway site to an external domain via DNS (I am new to this so could easily have made an obvious mistake).
I have not set a fixed IP, just in case relevant.
I've set up on Port8080 (maybe need to leave blank?) and told by railway the DNS to add on my 3rd party are "Type - CNAME / Name - @ / Value - a url on railway, not mine"
- in my 3rd party app, i believe i need to enter that with CNAME / www / then the url
- i have also set up forwarding for www.site.co.uk to go to just site.co.uk
BUT on clicking site.co.uk i get "The connection for this site is not secure
smarterbuys-banking.co.uk sent an invalid response."
On clicking www.site.co.uk

Please check your network settings to confirm that your domain has provisioned.

Hello,
Neither of those domains has the correct CNAME set -
https://www.nslookup.io/domains/smarterbuys-banking.co.uk/dns-records/#google
https://www.nslookup.io/domains/smarterbuys-banking.com/dns-records/#google
If your name servers don't support root-level CNAMEs, you will need to use Cloudflare's nameservers, they have a guide for that here -
https://developers.cloudflare.com/dns/zone-setups/full-setup/setup/
Best,
Brody
