Hello Railway team,
I’m having an issue changing the target branch for a service environment.
In the service settings, under:
“Branch connected to development
Changes made to this GitHub branch will be automatically pushed to this environment.”
I’m trying to change the connected branch from main to another branch.
Issue:
- The branch list is loaded successfully.
- However, I cannot select or change to any branch other than main.
- This happens both for newly added services and existing services.
- The issue is not that branches are missing. The branches are visible, but selecting them does not work.
What I already tried:
- Disconnected GitHub from Railway
- Uninstalled the Railway GitHub App from GitHub
- Reconnected GitHub to Railway
- Reinstalled/reauthorized the Railway GitHub App
- Confirmed that the repository is included in the GitHub App scope
Expected behavior:
I should be able to select a target branch other than main for the service environment.
Could you check whether there is an issue with my GitHub integration, workspace permissions, or the branch selection state for this project/service?
Thank you.

Exact same issue, selecting branch with a mouse will not select a branch, no visible action, however using arrow keys will visibly move the selector down one and then return back to start, holding down arrow key will flicker between initial branch and next branch.
Holding arrow key down and hitting enter will switch to the selected branch if timed correctly.

Thanks for the report! We've since fixed this issue (was an issue with us optimizing some queries, we rolled that change back)
