I'm new to railway. I want to use the railway CLI to connect to my project. I have been unable to figure out how to install it. Every method I've tried (exactly as described on https://docs.railway.com/cli) has failed. As a new user, I am frustrated with seemingly easy instructions that SIMPLY DON'T WORK. How do I do it?
Here are the failures:
Method 1:
$ npm -i -g @railway/cli
npm warn Expanding --i to --iwr. This will stop working in the next major version of npm.
Unknown command: "@railway/cli"
Method 2:
$ curl -fsSL agents.railway.com | sh
curl: (23) client returned ERROR on write of 20 bytes
x Could not determine the latest Railway CLI version from GitHub.
Check that https://github.com/railwayapp/cli/releases/latest is reachable.
Retry, or pin a known version to skip this lookup entirely:
RAILWAY_VERSION=<x.y.z>
Method 3:
$ scoop install railway
-bash: scoop: command not found
Any assistance would be appreciated!

The npm attempt failed because of a small typo: the command has an extra dash before i. It should be npm i -g @railway/cli (no dash in front of i), which needs Node.js 16 or higher.
Scoop is a Windows package manager, so it won't be available in a bash shell. If you're on macOS, brew install railway also works. On Windows, the docs recommend running the installer from a Bash shell in WSL.
You can also skip the agent setup and use the plain install script: bash <(curl -fsSL railway.com/install.sh).
Once it's installed, run railway login and then railway link to connect to your project. The full list of install methods is in the CLI docs.
