Unable to link GitHub repositories to Railway project (no repos shown)

I’m trying to connect my GitHub repository as a Source for automated deployments. I installed the Railway GitHub App on my GitHub Organization successfully, and the installation appears correctly on the GitHub side. However, in Railway, under API → Settings → Source, no repositories are displayed. The list stays empty, and I cannot select or link any repo.

Expected Behavior:

Railway should show the repositories from the GitHub Organization where the Railway GitHub App is installed, allowing me to link one as the deployment source.

Actual Behavior:

The “Connect Repo” modal shows zero repositories, even though the Railway GitHub App is installed and has access to multiple repos.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open a Railway project → Settings → Source.

  2. Click Connect Repo.

  3. Install the Railway GitHub App on a GitHub Organization.

  4. Return to Railway.

  5. Observe that no repositories appear.

Environment Details:

  • GitHub: Organization-level installation

  • Railway project type: API service

  • Browser: Safari (but same on Chromium)

Additional Notes:

There is no error message displayed. The repo list simply remains empty.

It's look like the same issue as => https://station.railway.com/questions/connection-lost-with-github-bacae961
Maybe GitHub has rate limited initial logins again ?

This doesn't appear to be related to the rate-limiting issue you linked, as our monitoring would have flagged that, and we haven't seen any alerts. If no repositories are showing up, it's almost always because the Railway GitHub App doesn't have the proper access. Please double-check that the Railway App is installed on your GitHub organization and that it has access to the specific repositories you want to use. You can review and update this in your GitHub settings under Applications → Railway App → Configure → Repository access.

More details are in our docs:
