Unable to Receive Webhook Requests from Vapi on Railway-hosted n8n

Hi Railway Support,

I'm experiencing an issue where webhook requests from Vapi to my Railway-hosted n8n instance are failing with a 500 error. However:

  • I can successfully send webhooks to my n8n instance from Postman.

  • Vapi can successfully send webhooks to Make.com.

  • Only Vapi to n8n on Railway fails with a 500 error (no further details provided).

  • Railway logs and n8n logs show no entries when I run a test from Vapi—it’s as if the request never reaches Railway.

I have already tried:

white_check_mark emoji Setting PORT=5678
white_check_mark emoji Creating a simpler webhook path (/webhook/test)
white_check_mark emoji Checking for firewall or security restrictions
white_check_mark emoji Sending test requests from different sources

Since I see no logs of the request in Railway, it seems like Vapi's request is being blocked before it reaches n8n.

Could you please check if there’s anything on Railway’s end that might be preventing webhook requests from Vapi?

I will need logs from N8N - there should be nothing on our end that would be stopping these requests.
