5GB is the limit on the Hobby plan, if you need more storage you would need to upgrade to Pro

When I specify workspace name it creates new one here.

Error is it creates new workspace where my current project is not present.

we do not currently support that at this moment, the current upgrade path would be creating a new workspace

so then it will charge for 2 plans

By any chance can I connect to my postgres and take backup?

you do not need to stay subscribed to the Hobby plan with an active pro workspace

you would need to transfer your projects over to the new Pro workspace and then grow the volume
