We spent a lot of time diagnosing the issues, due to Postgres and Redis Logs:
Postgres logs very long sync times : 2025-08-04 15:21:40.040 UTC [26] LOG: checkpoint complete: wrote 26 buffers (0.2%); 0 WAL file(s) added, 0 removed, 0 recycled; write=195.859 s, sync=234.474 s, total=590.264 s; sync files=21, longest=42.797 s, average=11.166 s; distance=88 kB, estimate=532 kB; lsn=0/647F8848, redo lsn=0/647D7140
Redis Logs long fsync operations : Asynchronous AOF fsync is taking too long (disk is busy?). Writing the AOF buffer without waiting for fsync to complete, this may slow down Redis.
Simple update or create queries often take 3-12 seconds and sometimes the requests fail due to timeout as they go beyond 45secs!!!
Recently, I have seen many other threads regarding slow Postgres write operations since moving to Metal and the solution provided is to move back to Legacy.
1. I have a Backend, Postgres and Redis setup, should I move back to Legacy, if so how?
3. Will the Legacy work fine with Serverless disabled?
2. Is this the only solution? What is the timeline to fix issues in Metal?
Need immediate response as this is our Production instance and Users are continuously complaining!!

Hello there Preeti,
We have confirmed that there was some degradation on that particular host. I have made it so that you can deploy to our cloud hosts and that should temporarily resolve the issue.
Thanks,
Angelo

Hi Angelo,
By temporarily resolve, what do you mean?
What are the consequences if we move to Legacy? Are your Legacy servers stable? Would there be any performance issue? We want to be 100% sure as this will impact live users!
Also, as we have to move to Metal eventually, timeline to fix issues in Metal?

The legacy hosts are stable and you should see no issues in moving to them.
We don't have a timeline as it stands but will let you know when we do.
