I recently bought a squarespace domain, in the squarespace configuration is supports custom dns rules, A quick replay would be nice, I hope you could reply to my message telling me how to do it, in the meantime I will see if I can figure it out myself.

When I try to use custom records to add my domain it asks for a data catagory (ip) , Railway only gives me a value link? That doesn't work as data for the custom record

It wont stop giving me invalid dns record when I try to enter my domain

For some reason flipping the host and data made it a valid dns config?? This isn't correct and doesn't work

Everything I try consistently gets the message "Invalid DNS Records"

Squarespace does not support CNAME flattening at the root, this is required since Railway will only give you a domain and not an IP, this means you need to use DNS that supports that, you will need to switch to CloudFlare's nameservers.

I have been attempting to use cloudflare for CNAME flattening, on cloudflare I put in all the same values that re required and completed all asked for tasks to initialize the domain (Railway says: "setup complete"), Whenever I try to access my site it gives me the "page isn't directing properly" error.

I then ticked the developer "disable caching" option and it seems to work now, This is only for three hours though but I think I may have diagnosed the issue

Ok, I managed to figure it out whilst messing with the cache and development controls, All good
