Using IP address instead of CNAME

My domain host cannot add a CNAME and the value from my custom domain name, they say instead they require an IP address. Is it possible to connect my custom domain name via an IP address? If not, please advise accordingly; been quite frustrated by this issue.
I am in South Africa and my host is Afrihost.

It is not possible to use IP addresses for Railway hosted applications, you can only use CNAMEs.
If your current nameservers don't support this we recommend using Cloudflare's nameservers, they have a guide for that here -
