Using Railway private network during builds

Sorry for asking this repeated question, but I've seen many different answers to this that I felt the need to ask from scratch.

What is the way to connect to the database using the private connection URL during the build? Is it a feature flag, a special environment variable, or network configuration?

You enable the new builder in the service settings.

Please note that it is still very much beta and may outright not work for you, it is also known to have slower build times.

We are not going to be continue to work on the new builder for the time being until we have moved over to metal.
