Volume usage grows continuously while filesystem stays near-empty — fstrim blocked (EPERM)

Hello,

my volume (schatzliste-volume): dashboard reports ~318 MB usage and rising, but df -h /app/data inside the container reports 896 KB used. fstrim /app/data fails with FITRIM ioctl failed: Operation not permitted. Looks like freed blocks are never returned to the underlying zvol. Could the volume be mounted with discard, or trimmed host-side?

The fstrim EPERM is expected, containers don't have the kernel privilege that ioctl requires. Freed blocks are returned to the storage layer automatically over time, but the reported usage always settles above what df shows due to how the underlying storage allocates space. The dashboard figure is the metric billing tracks, though for ~318 MB the cost is small. There is no manual host-side reclaim available. The only way to fully reset a volume's allocation footprint is to migrate your data to a fresh volume (create a new one, copy the 896 KB of files over, then delete the old volume).
