I made moocup - a screenshot tool, whose inspiration i got while reading the blogs of railway. I was really appreciative of the work railway put into their product to not just make a cloud wrapper, but rather owning their own data servers.

I am thrilled to present to you my project — Krishi Saathi , a complete handsfree voice based agentic solution with custom tool calling for farmers and rural population to help them retrieve the most relevant and current information from the web in their own "regional language & dialect" at "low latency" making the whole conversation feel as real as possible.

Krishi Saathi can via voice(in between normal conversation),

1. Call government API for current market/mandi prices with fallback.

2. It can perform real-time search to base its answers on current info rather than trained or hallucinated ones.

3. Perform CRUD operations on database for creating tickets, account etc. to connect farmers to domain experts.

4. Guide farmers with their dynamic need and share them about policies , subsidies & tips regarding their crops or need.

-Tuned using state of art models and api's for Turn detection and Interrupt Handler via Voice Activity Detection(VAD) with Realtime model instead of STT-LLM-TTS pipeline to decrease latency.

Along with them I also created a Disease Detection page where farmer can select his preferred language upload a image and get an in-depth analysis of his crop disease or anomaly with solutions , precautions & extra info!

It's my first ever hackathon and I already feel like a imposter after seeing so many great ideas and projects at one place.
Anyway I have decided to hack on a very niche product for a friend who have been frustrated with all the available solutions in market.
He runs a local photography studio and he wanted things in a specific way in the application that can be easily used by a non-tech person as well.

So I have decided to build an App that will help him manage his studio effectively , from booking clients to getting paid and everything in between.

• Bookings: Create and Manage bookings

• Shoots: Plan and track shoots

• Deliverables: Manage booking deliverables and their statuses

• Tasks: Assign and track tasks

• Review: Manage submissions and conduct formal reviews for tasks and deliverables

• Expenses: Track booking related expenses

• Crew: Manage availability of both crew members and freelancers

• Clients: Manage client informations

• Access Control: Role based access control for members based on better-auth

Other features

• Dashboard : A dashboard that will tell actual tell what's happening and are you ready for next week, instead of unnecessary charts

• Configs: configuration to manage booking types, statuses, priorities dynamically

• Onboarding: A simple onboarding flow to create your studio and invite members

There are still lot of features that can be added and code could be way more polished and production ready but my friend is really happy seeing the Version Zero of it and that's what matters most.

Tech stack

It is built with Next.Js, Typescript, ShadcnUI, Drizzle, Postgres and Better auth.

I don't think anything else comes close to this setup for starting a minimalistic saas type application. Most of the sass starters are trying to do so much , that is why I have added everything you could ever need in a template that get out of your way as soon as possible with basic db and auth setup. To Manage your database you could make use of drizzle gateway that is also added inside the template, if you don't need it feel free to remove it .

Hey everyone! Call me Nicole I'm a Junior Rails dev and this is my first time building a full-stack app from scratch by myself like this. I had so much fun and I'm excited to share this app with everyone

First, the template: Rails 8 + Solid Stack + Docker starter for Railway

I initially struggled to get my Rails 8 apps deployed to Railway because I was following the Rails 7 tutorial and I didn't know Docker at all. I have 4 previous projects like that that are a hot mess, if I'm being honest but the lovely people of this Railway Central Station helped me so much, plus doing some more research and learning about how Rails 8 works, the differences, how to set up multiple databases, etc. this last week really helped! I dive into that in the blog post I wrote for this Hackathon. But I finally figured it out and turned it into a template!

I built this Hackathon project using that template and refined it. I know there's still wayyyyy more I need to learn about deployment and Docker and such, but I'm really proud of the progress I've made this past week AND Railway made it so easy

So here are the details of the template:

• Rails 8 with Solid Queue, Solid Cache, Solid Cable

• Multiple databases set up with PostgreSQL (no redis)

• Dockerfile should correctly run (thruster was removed + entrypoint was edited to allow multiple database migrations)

And now for the actual project...

Do & Don’t: A habit app for days you can barely get out of bed

(btw, I'm looking at the landing page now and laughing so hard at myself because the design is sooooo ADHD I think I was deliriously tired by the end of the Hackathon and wanted to make the page fun... but went a tad bit overboard with the animations)

For this Hackathon, I built Do & Don’t, a habit tracker that understands your ups & downs and helps you stay consistent on hard days too.

It is designed for ADHD, depression, chronic pain, and anyone whose capacity changes day to day (like also new parents, post-surgery, after loss & grief... there's so many examples of things that could impact our energy and ability to complete rigid habits).

Most habit trackers stop helping when you struggle. Do & Don’t shrinks the task instead of the goal.

Because the habits you create in D&D are based on OUTCOMES.

Why do you want to do this habit in the first place? That's your outcome goal.

Instead of "brush teeth every day" the outcome is "clean, good looking teeth"

Or instead of "exercise 4x per week" the outcome you might want is "feel good in my body" or "move my body in a way that feels good"

See the difference? This was the first change I made from the typical apps. I wanted to see WHY I was doing something, not what I had to do.

Then you set the actual "habits" for each energy level...

• 1 = low energy... what's the bare minimum I can do on a low energy day that would be a quick, guaranteed win and that would help me reach the outcome of this habit?

• 2 = medium energy... what's something I'd like to do consistently if I have the energy for it?

• 3 = high energy... how do I go all out, balls to the wall, full enthusiasm, I'm on fire, I'm gonna do it all? (I may be in a state of mania for these days, but who knows)

Here's an example of a habit that I've always struggled with... working out

No matter what your energy is on a day-to-day basis, you still move the outcome forward.

Which reduces decision fatigue, preserves momentum, and prevents the all-or-nothing crash that derails people from completing habits.

Every option is a win because you're acknowledging where you're at and doing what you can to achieve the outcome you're desiring from the habit.

So when you set your energy level for each day as Low, Medium, or High...

...all of your day's habits will match that energy level automatically!

As a first-time-mom with an 18 month old toddler going through a sleep regression... most of my days are low energy but I still get a workout in because I'm not shaming myself into doing the most, going to the gym, doing an hour long workout video, etc. I'm doing stretches, and it's helping relieve my body pain and I'm moving my body in a way that feels good and keeps me active and healthy (aside from chasing my toddler around the house of course lol)

I hope this app can help others stay healthy and happy with consistent (and flexible) habits too

I've broadly reviewed all the projects in this hackathon, and while there are many interesting ones with very good concepts, I think this is BY FAR the project that could have the most impact on a person's life.

It solves a problem many of us have, it's not afraid to touch on topics that others would consider taboo, like depression or attention deficit disorder. In fact, it accepts these "flaws" as normal (and let's face it, for most of us, they're normal, even if we don't want to admit it) and tries to solve them or make them more bearable and improve our lives. The concept of being able to do tasks based on our energy level, and accepting that we're not 100% ready to take on the world every day, is so simple yet so powerful that I honestly have no words to explain how useful it would be in the life of at least someone like me. I'm not a judge, but if I were, I'd give this project first place without a second thought.
