So basically I am facing a problem that I changed the encryption key in my and now all my passwords and phone numbers are coming as encrypted strings how can I retrieve the environment variables

You can check your previous deployment's variables to see whether your old env variable exists there or not.

1. Click on your service > deployments.

2. Then click on an old deployment that had that env variable.

3. Navigate to details > variables.

We do not store version history for environment variables, so a previous value that was overwritten cannot be recovered through Railway. Since you're on the Pro plan, you can check audit logs (retained for 30 days) to see if the old encryption key value was captured in the variable update event.
