What happens under a DDoS attack?

Hello,
If I have the hobby plan and suffer a DDoS attack, what happens to the affected services? If the account balance reaches 0, do you shut down the services, or is there an extra charge added at the end of the month?
Kind regards, thank you.

Depends on your account payment model.

If you're on the credit modal and your credits reach zero your services are shut down.

If you're on the automatic payment model without a spend limit set, you will continue to incur costs.

I'd recommend being on the automatic payment model with a spend limit set, and with your application behind Cloudflare.

Thank you for your response.
Another question: if I subscribe to the $5 hobby plan and my services use up the credits, will the services be suspended until the next renewal?
And another question: is it possible to set a credit usage limit for one service while keeping other services running until the limit is reached? For example, if I have two services and I want to allocate $1 to one service and $4 to the other, is that possible?

One thing to note is that the minimum amount you can load is $10, so once you use all the credits your services will be shut down indefinitely, bringing the services back online is at your discretion, you could choose to load more credits right away and bring your services back online or wait till the next billing cycle to load more credits and bring the service back online then.

I would still very much recommended the automatic payment plan instead of the credit based plan, you can not set a limit on the credit based plan, since the limit on the credit based plan comes directly from the amount of credits you load.

It is not possible, the limit is workspace wide, meaning if a single service uses all the credits, all services get shut down.

Thank you for your response.
Another question:
if I purchase the hobby plan, I have $5 in credit each month, right?
If I want to limit it to $7, how could I do that?

If you purchase the Hobby plan you will have to pay a minimum of $5 a month, and in doing so, you get $5 in resource credits.

The spend limit is a minimum of $10, that can be set within your account's usage page.
