As of right now, you cannot migrate existing (gcp) volumes to metal. However, it is possible to create volumes on metal, if you have opted in for the Metal Volumes feature flag under https://railway.com/account/feature-flags.

Interesting, I just tried migrating a service with volume from metal to non-metal and back to metal. Everything seems to work fine on my end. I'll escalate this to the team!

To prevent users from running production workloads with a beta feature, we have disallowed volume migrations for Pro users for the time being.
